Yolanda Dolling

Yolanda works in business development and projects involving change, primarily in the legal, publishing, health and IT sectors.  Her strengths lie in bringing together a solid nuts and bolts understanding of business drivers and planning processes, with strong people skills and the ability to motivate others to achieve their full potential.

After completing her Bar Finals Yolanda went into publishing and worked her way up from an entry-level position to board-level director in 15 years, working in the legal, reference and business sectors.  As director of international publishing and business development at LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell she was responsible for setting up the first non-English language online business service in Germany, marketing lawyers to clients, in partnership with the German Bar Association.  She also developed and launched the International Counsel2Counsel Programme, a business development initiative providing facilitated networking for key clients and law firms.  This service was responsible for delivering 3% renewal growth on core business.

A significant part of her work at LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell involved liaison with senior in-house counsel and lawyers to understand the processes involved in the hiring and retention of law firms and the dynamics of the legal market.  As an independent consultant for the past three years, Yolanda has worked for several other businesses in the legal sector, evaluating market opportunities in publishing, legal services and technology.

Yolanda’s key interest lies in working with management teams to find sustainable solutions to business growth that will deliver success to individuals and the business alike.  In addition to her consulting work, she has spent the past two years studying the psychology of human potential and the capacities available to us for achieving and maintaining the levels of peak performance necessary for success today.
